    Welcome to this Advanced Course on Community Health (COS – Certificate of Open Studies)

    This course has 12 modules (i.e., 1 module represents 1 ECTS credit or 25-30 hours of student workload) and 6 learning blocks you will discover over this academic year (Fall and Spring semesters, 9 months):

    1. Introduction to Community Health
    2. From maternal and child health to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH)
    3. Infectious diseases and other conditions
    4. First aid and basics of emergency care
    5. Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), mental health and disabilities
    6. Digitalisation and innovation in health systems

     

    At the end of this course, you should be able to :

    • Identify the key priorities in terms of community health ;
    • Complete basic health tasks to prevent and mitigate the health risks in your community ;
    • Develop collaborative competencies with your peers and local actors to prevent and mitigate health risks ;
    • Help reinforce the well-being and resilience between peers and within your community.
