The purpose of this course is to give an overview of the principal bioinformatic tools and databases which are used in genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics.

A special emphasis will be given to biological databases and in silico protein sequence analysis (domain detection and functional prediction, similarity  search, multiple sequence alignment, 3D structure analysis;  theory and practical work).
