This course introduces students - at the end of the Bachelor’s programme - to some essential “soft skills” in order to execute and accelerate the important “hard skills” obtained in the economics or management programme. The focus will be on evidence- based skills in the following skill modules : “Rethinking Leadership Development”, “Assessing and developing your resource base”, “Effective Public Communication”, “Effective Team Work”, and “Professional Effectiveness”. These highly applied soft skills workshops will be led by a professional trainer in English.
This course is offered in two different settings, hereafter referred to as Group 1 and Group 2, limited to 25 Bachelor students in Economics and Management each. Priority will be given to motivated students at the end of the second part of the Bachelor program (3rd year). In order to participate in the course, the student has to first comply with the following two criteria:
i. have completed the first part of the bachelor program, and
ii. have acquired at least 30 credits of the second part
If there are more than 50 (2 x 25) students on the qualified student list, then students will be ranked based on the evaluation of their submitted motivation letter (written in English). Students can register for the course during the presentation session on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025 at 16:15 in room MR160 (presence is compulsory).
