Water is increasingly becoming a collateral victim in armed conflicts. The destruction or damage to water infrastructure, as well as the intentional or unintentional pollution of rivers or groundwater resources, has lasting effects that extend well beyond the cessation of hostilities. These impacts influence the lives, dignity, and health of civilians both in the short and long term, and their effects accumulate over time.
This short online course aims to fill a knowledge gap by specifically focusing on the protection of our most precious resource: water.
