The objective of this seminar is to apply the knowledge acquired in the "méthodes quantitatives" course in the form of a research project (projet de recherche). While following the broad theme "Political and democratic attitudes" and using Round 10 of the European Social Survey database, students, by the end of the seminar, will:
1. Know the basics of the correlates and consequences of democratic support and political attitudes,
2. Measures of political and democratic support, and how they mediate and/or condition diffuse and specific political attitudes.
3. Be able to read and interpret social sciences literature using quantitative methods.
4. Be able to manage a database and produce analyses using statistical software (R)
5. Be capable of conducting research using quantitative methods.
