Compulsory course for the master option «Biodiversity and Systematics»
The objective of this course is to understand how DNA and proteins evolve and how this information is used to reconstruct phylogenetic relationships among organisms or among other evolutionary units. We will aslo learn how to test hypotheses based on phylogenetic information. The course consists of a theoretical part and a practical part intended to familiarize the students with the phylogenetic inference programs
