Plagiarism and academic integrity
As a student at a university, you are joining an academic community in which we all share and discuss ideas, and in this way develop and improve our own ideas. This is done freely, but on the basis that we acknowledge the source of the ideas we are working with. Acknowledging others' ideas is part of maintaining your academic integrity – a set of values that academic students and staff adhere to in order to ensure that their behaviour and work is honest, fair and original.
