The course's main objective is to provide an overview of the latest developments regarding political opinion formation and electoral decision-making. By reading research articles, the students will develop their skills to critically reflect on social science research, both orally and in written. Secondly, they will also get used to reading scientific literature in an efficient way.
Secondly, this course also has some more practical objectives. First, the students will improve their skills to search for relevant and up-to-date literature and practice these skills. Second, by preparing a short and concise presentation of a topic, they improve their skills in summarizing and taking away only the most relevant points of a given topic.
