Practical
Language classes use texts and other media on a variety of topics related to
the cultures of the English-speaking world to help students consolidate and
improve their proficiency in grammar, vocabulary, and language use. In addition
to language practice, the course aims to introduce a basic descriptive
framework for the English language. This is designed to enable students to
develop their own mastery of the language independently, and to be useful for those
who aim to go on to teach.
