This
course is an introduction to the study of glycans and glyconjugates.
Part 1-3 cover basic definitions and essential concepts to understand
the field of glycobiology.
Part 4-6 give an overview of the experimental
and analytical challenges and include specific bioinformatics
components. This entails hands-on practise of relevant bioinformatics
resources.
Part 7 focuses on understanding functional glycobiology in selected contexts and practical work involves scientific article reading and presenting.
