Welcome to the Change Management course !

Change is a very important element of nowadays organizations and needs to be managed in a sustainable and ethical way. 

This course deals with complex societal and governance challenges in organizations. It aims students to apply fundamental management theories, such as Organizational Ecology, Institutional Theory, Stakeholder Theory and Resource Based View, to better understand and analyze the drivers for innovation and change. 

Practical tools to manage change in order to respond in a responsible way to nowadays challenges will be applied in class. The challenges managers are facing today in view of change require them to be familiar with the basic concepts as well as the pitfalls in this regard.  

This course is structured in the way that graduates will get in the first part a theoretical perspective on Change management and the second part of the course graduates will apply the theoretical content in developing a case study. 

 
Course evaluation:

The minimum grade to obtain the ETCS credits of the course is 4.00/6.00. Overall course grade will be calculated according to the following criteria:

  • Mid-term Exam (50%): Multiple Choice and Mini Case/s
  • Group work (40%): Written analysis of a real change related to digitalization & innovation or sustainability & ethics that has happened/is happening in an organization (Case study).
  • Presentation of the final project (10%): Case study presentation
  • Reading Preparation Group Bonus (max. 0.25 grade points):
