Le cours introduit les étudiant.e.s à l’analyse des fondations de l’ordre public selon la perspective de la théorie politique de tradition analytique. L’étude de la justification des institutions politiques et sociales passera en revue certaines des approches clés de la philosophie politique (déontologie ; conséquentialisme) et des théories politiques analytiques (contractualisme ; utilitarisme).
Cette base sera utilisée pour fournir aux étudiant.e.s les outils conceptuels permettant d’approcher une question centrale de la théorie politique : la justification de l’obligation politique et de la contestation.

The course introduces students to the analysis of the foundations of the public order from the perspective of analytical political theory. The study of the justification of public institutions will review some of the key approaches in political philosophy (deontology; consequentialism) and analytical political theories (contractualism; utilitarianism).
This basis will be used to provide students with the conceptual tools for approaching a central issue in political theory: the justification of political obligation and contestation.
